C-025: Ki'buurrii

an unfortunate li'uhn who stumbled through a dimensional rift and found themselves on the world of Galabstarin, homeworld of the Drakiri and refuge of the Zarkanta

the rift was unstable and dangerous, filled to the brim with dozens of hazards and countless shadowy monsters. they were left severely injured during transit, falling unsconscious just as they reached the other side
the drakiri killimanjaro found them while on an outing to collect more ingredients. he treated them as best he could in the field before carrying them back to his home, which doubled as a small hospital for his local town

by the time ki'buurrii had recovered enough to safely travel again, the rift that had brought them there had decayed further, becoming too unstable to even locate again, much less safely travel through
they've been in galabstarin since then, learning more about the world and its locals, developing skills to allow them to safely pass through the next rift that's found, and waiting to return

and i think at first the answer is simply just
the rift they came through was too unstable and too dangerous. they got Very Badly Hurt on the way through, and after getting patched up, they were still too unprepared to go back through it. that And the rift itself had become more unstable, perhaps even collapsing and temporarily disappearing. so thet werent Able to return until they were more prepared to handle the dangers of rifting, and a new, more Stable rift appeared / could be maintained
so at First theyre not able to freely travel between the worlds but they Will be eventually"
